Honda HRV Hybrid DTC 1306: Vehicle Speed Pulse
How to use this manual
Before you troubleshoot, review the How to Troubleshoot.
NOTE:
Check the GNSS reception in an open area (vehicle position should be detected in three dimensions).
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
■ Overview
If the audio unit cannot detect the vehicle speed pulse despite of detecting the vehicle moving by receive the GNSS signal, the audio unit determines an abnormality and stores the DTC.
■ Inspection Outline
The components to be tested are indicated by a dotted line.
Inspection Items
- a External Circuit: VSP Circuit Inspection
- b PCM: PCM Inspection
- c Audio Unit: Audio Unit Inspection
a. VSP Circuit Inspection
NOTE: Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the scanner, and wait more than 1 minute.
■ Test Procedure
- Preparation
－Audio unit connector A (24P): disconnected
－PCM connector A (50P): disconnected - Procedure
－Perform the inspection according to the following table.
■ Results
If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.
b. PCM Inspection
■ Preconditions
NOTE: This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.
- External circuit is normal
■ Test Procedure
- Preparation
－Audio unit connector A (24P): disconnected
Procedure
- Raise the vehicle on a lift.
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Shift the transmission to N position/mode.
- Block the front tyre of one side, and rotate the front tyre slowly that is not blocked.
- Perform the inspection according to the following table.
■ Results
If abnormal, there is a problem with the telematics control unit.
c. Audio Unit Inspection
■ Test Procedure
If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining audio unit is the cause.
■ Results
There is a problem with the audio unit.
■ Confirmation Procedure
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- Test-drive the vehicle at steady speed more than 20 km/h (12 mph) for about 1 minute.
